Sarcoids in my horses groin!

My boy has had some warty type things developing in his groin and vet has confirmed sarcoids. They appeared about 18 months ago and at first glance from the vet he says baby warts but that is now not the case. They are not bleeding or pussy or anything and I can touch them without my boy flinching. My worry is that they will start to irritate and make him uncomfortable. What is best to treat them without aggravating them? Thanks :)
 
Ask your vet to send pictures to professor knottenbelt at glasgow vet school and he will reccomend the best course of treatment.
 
My horse has a few very small ones in the early stages my vet gave me some cream to put on twice a week, it's called Aldara 5% and I have about enough for 6 weeks vet said if they are in the early stages it can sometimes get rid of them, might be worth asking about it I have no idea if it works as am due to start putting it on tomorrow.
