I have never had them treated as they haven't changed for a long time, but a pony at our yard had one above his eye and the vets used BCG injections to get rid of it.
Has he got sarcoids anywhere else?
If they seem to appearing and spreading quickly they might not be sarcoids. My girls take a long time to appear and change gradually over time, they tend to be alittle area at first and grow or spread over weeks and months rather than days.
I'd be worried that it is something else that could just keep spreading so quickly. Have you spoken to a vet about this?
How old is ponio NNS? If he's still young, they're probably juvenile warts. These can appear in alarming numbers on a horse or pony's face but as the horse ages and his immune system matures, they disappear entirely on their own. If he's older, I'd get the vet out. Some vets will say if it looks like a sarcoid, treat it as if it IS one but others will say the opposite. The only way to be certain if a lump is a true sarcoid is a biopsy which itself can be dangerous if it turns out it IS a sarcoid. I'd keep a watching brief because many things that LOOK like sarcoids, aren't and they often disappear on their own or don't change for yonks.
