I personally think they made the right decision, she was obviously trying to tell them something!

While Midday went on to her sixth victory at the highest level, talented filly Sariska convinced her connections that it was time to call it a career as she did not leave the starting gate for a second consecutive start. The Pivotal filly refused to exit the gate in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks (Eng-G1) on August 19 and stood statuesque again at Longchamp, prompting her immediate retirement by owner Lady Bamford.

Sariska, Europe’s champion three-year-old filly of 2009 after victories in the Darley Irish Oaks (Ire-G1) and Investec Epsom Oaks (Eng-G1), retires with five wins from 11 starts and earnings of $1,113,771.

She has issues with Kissing spines according to RP which I guess might explain it - some filly though, and a boon to Midday both times she siad no thanks...

So, what'll she be bred to to in 2011??

I wondered about that (kissing spins). I sure they will try and breed from her anyway, let's hope she can carry a foal without her condition causing her grief, I am not knowledgeable about the condition. Fantastic racehorse I hope her future is a rosey 1.
