Anyone got any views on them? I am looking for a new pair of leather boots, and am ecstatic to find that my calves are about 1.5" narrower than I thought so I can fit into standard sizes not wide fitting ones now :D

I am doing a bit of everything at a low level - mainly dressage and maybe show-jumping and eventing next year (maybe :p) so I have neither the money or the ability to be an ultra posh Konig person :D:D

I have a lovely pair of broginis (the ones with a lace at the front and a zip up the back) I've only worn them a couple of times and the zip bust (i got them replaced without any mither) but I'm rather dubious about them now.

K has the Sarm Hippique 500 boots which she keeps for competitions - they are lovely boots and have stood up to the best the British Weather has thrown at her for the last 2 years and still look as good as new.

I have Sarm boots, I bought off Derby House around 8 years ago, they have zips up the back and laces.

I LOVE THEM!

they were comfy from the first day and are still going strong, I have worn them to every competition I have done, I don't use them for everyday riding but they have lasted the lack of attention that I should have given such a great pair of boots!

Sarms, love mine. Had them about 6 years, only wear them for shows and some schooling every now and again but they still look like new. Didnt really need breaking in as they where so soft, well worth the pennies.

Sarm Hippiques!! Have had for about 5 years and use them all the time - have been comfy from day one, never got a blister or rub mark yet. The leather is lovely and soft, and I do not look after them like I should. Had a pair of Brogini's for about a month before and the zip went so sent them back. In this time they had changed the design of the boot and did not like the new one so got my money back - very happy as in this time had heard the zips were rubbish. They were nice looking boots but not very uncomfortable, which considering the price is not good.

Well it would seem that the Sarms win the day - thanks for the feedback everyone :) Only £5 more than the Broginis, so I shall see if I can save up the pennies now :D

Sarms! have not had any others but haven't needed too! Excellant boots, only thing to consider was that the woman that fitted them at Derby House for me said they were for showing/ dressage, however I have had mine 2 years and have evented and showjumped in them, the heel is a little worn, but nothing beyond repair!
The best pair of boots i have ever had!

Must have been same person as I had - she was most concerned that I wanted to jump a XC fence with them as if I hit a solid fence I would have no protection!

I have Brogini boots - the zip just broke - after 6 years which i think is good considering my ariat boots break after 2 years.

I will get the zip replaced as the boots look like new when polished up - even though thay have trudged through show stables mud baths, snow etc
Plus they have always been comfy!

I have the Brogini's and my sister has the Sarm Hippique ones. I only got the Brogini's as they were dirt cheap on a stand at Skipton, apparently they were ordered for someone who never collected! I like mine but comparing the two, I think the Sarm Hip come out on top, nicer, softer leather and just have a quality feel about them. Sister has had them for over 10 years and they've stood up well to the wear

Def need the boot trees though, hope that helps :)
