SAT NAVS- ever sent you some where odd- mine did last night!!....

Went to view a lorry last night and duly put the post code in the sat nav, got within about 1 mile of the destination and it sent us up a small track, thought nothing of it as the yard could have been at the end. We followed what it told us to do and it sent us onto a RUNWAY!!! It still kept giving us directions so we carried on going thinking it was an odd place to have a yard and we went further down the run way before it told us we had reached our destination! Then we noticed a POLICE WARNING SIGN saying we were on MOD training ground with live training and planes! Thought that we had better turn around! On the way out there were several soliders all in the gear with GUNS! No one questioned us even though we had been driving round the runway for the past 5 minutes ( very TOPGEAR!!)> Lucky not to be arrested!!

Hehe! Sounds like fun!

My Sat Nav, was trying to tell me that there was a roundabout ahead to take the third exit - there was none and the layout had changed, and i was totally confubalised!!!! I was late for my very first day at my new job.

They arnt all they cracked up to le LOL!

we were on our way to Stanstead airport and our sat nav sent us off the motorway, into a small town, down a narrow residential street, and eventually tried to get us to make a right turn through a hedge!!
If it hadn't have been 3 o clock in the morning it would have been funny!!!

ours sent us up a tiny narrow lane ..... we had trailer on and horses in it - as we were headign to XC for schooling .... well lane got narrower & narrower and eventually ended in a field / bridleway!!!!

No way we could do 3 point turn .... however gate to the field wasn't locked so we opened it, turned around in field and set off back down said narrow lane.
we eventually found XC course by calling my boyfriend and getting to look at map on internet and direct us. nightmare!

We flew into Germany to drive to France...... and ended up in Italy

Didn't even realise until my mum said "I think they're Italian policeman..." to my dad. We did get there eventually thank god!

Damn sat navs...

We once drove straight upto/into Manchester united training ground. Lots of angry looking burly blokes everywhere...

Oh, and on top of a bridge, it suddenly shouted "TURN LEFT NOW"... no!

My sister spends a lot of time arguing with the woman in our SatNav, but as someone who cannot hold more than three turns in her head I find it invaluable, when mixed with a dose of scepticism.

I live on a green road with a ford/river dividing us and the farm up the road. On a good day the river is passable in a 4x4 only. On a bad day when it has been or is raining it is a full flow river.

At the top of the lane there is a no through road sign.

We get several cars daily, most coming too fast. A few haven't stopped in time and have ended up in the river!!

If you are coming off the M4 and want to head towards Carmarthen, DO NOT listen to the Sat Nav and take the A483 signposted to Llandeilo expecting to cut through..
