Saturday - a cheeky lie in day!

I will be up at 5.20 in the morn, pull a fleece on and todays jodhs nd socks - drive the 2 miles to yard - feed 30 horses - turn out 6 and be back in bed by 6.22 am !!!

yippeeeeee for my sat morn lie in - no shows this week hurrahh

anyone else do this ? or is it just lazy me ?
 
nope, me too, but tend to have a lie in on a sunday

it's horrible on saturday mornings because they still have friday night dance music on the radio as I'm driving into work!
 
The worst is Christmas day and New years day - i hate those days !!!! - up and out- all the horses to do before you dash home open a couple of prezzies - watch the weather - eat your dinner - rush back to yard - catch in if the weather is foul- go home - eat your pudding - everyone else is snoring on the sofa's and you have to go back in the cold to do evening rounds !
 
My horses are in the farmyard by the house so when they are in -not yet - I go feed in my dressing gown. Scares the occasional footpath walker though mad woman with loo brush hair in a dressing gown and wellies!

Must admit - i never comb my hair on a weekend - funny the horses do not mind at all - its just the other liveries that turn up about 10am and say "just got up?" and you swear under your breath and say "oh yeah" funny NOT !

I have to say, today, if it wasn't that I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy, I'd swap you a day on the sofa for a working day with the neds

In winter if I wake up early I go to the yard and feed and quick skip out, then go back to bed. Get up about 10 and go and ride.

I wanted a lay in last saturday, but the puppy got me up at 5am, so chucked him out for a wee, then took him to bed.
 
Well I can have a proper lie-in - well almost - no need to get up til about 7.30 or 8

BUT my daughter and husband will be up at 4.45 as 'autumn hound exercise' is at 6am! Luckily meet is in the next village only 5 miles away so not too far to drive.

4.45 - alarm - you to other half ..come on are you getting up... 4. 50 alarm - you to other half - are you getting up.... 5 am ... GET UP. 5.10 - MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM do you know where i left my jods, jacket, shirt, tie, hat, saddle, bridle, pony, horse box keys, bandages.... 5.25 am MOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM - so and so wont load, can you come down and help....... 5.55 am - phone rings Moooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmm- can you bring dads jacket and gloves and HURRAYYYYYYYY UP THERE JUST LEAVING !!!! lol - let me know how the lie in goes (he he he)
 
Unlike most of the past Saturdays (shows or early riding lessons), I still have to get up early-ish to let the chickens out otherwise they peck the smaller 2, and then take daughter to a birthday party at the sailing club for 10. As she's turning into a teenager I shall have to nag her to get up. First Saturday she's not ridden in the morning for weeks, but I think she'll probably ride No 1 Little Grey Welshie in preference to No 2 LGW (who did a bronco impresssion and nearly bucked her off on Wednesday so not favourite LGW) later on.
 
Vengance on you Mrs M - for bragging about 9am lie ins..... (lol) I just got up from mine- was a bit late getting back into bed it was 7.05 though - dawn was just breaking as i turned first nedster out - but i think were going to have a fly filled day up here !
