We went to Cobham Manor on Saturday, the place was really nice and had some scary fillers for our second show.
I warmed up for the 85cm and Senza was being a complete cow, she wasn't listening to anything i was saying and really trying to evade me. We went into our class and just got a little too close to 2 and had them down, wasn't too disappointed and they were just babyish mistakes and she jumped the rest of the round nice.
Decided as there wasn't a lot of people i the warm up to use it as an opportunity to get some decent schooling out of her. Finally she started to listen and work really nicely. Took her into the 95cm and it was game over from fence one, she tanked into the first jump and had it down, then proceeded to fly round at the speed of light with a 'i know what i am doing' attitude. By number 5 we had 4 down
so decided to pull her up, take her for a trot round and chill her out. Trotted up to number 6 and we jumped the rest of the course clear.
Still really pleased with her though as she didn't bat an eyelid at any of the jumps and apart from thinking she knew best in the ring she behaved impeccably all day being tied up etc and enjoyed tea and cakes with us at the box afterwards
I think it was my fault in a way as i hadn't jumped her in 2 weeks and then took her to a show (bit of a last minute thing) so cant blame her for being excited
