NT is first after xc both in 2* and Grand National.
How does he do it ?

He has withdrawn Galan (first after dressage in Grand National) before xc because the horse did some stupid in his stall and lightly bruised front leg. NT felt it was better not to take any chances with Galan's health.

Galan is a seriously beautiful and talented horse, one I would so love to have a go on, along with Tamarillo and Primmores Pride

Can I be really dumb and ask what the Grand National is?

Hi Lou !
The Grand National is the running series of HTs for the top ranking French pros. Not sure what the equivalent would be in UK as there surely must be one ?
So, returning the dumb question

I know, I don't like the way that people get jumped upon for voicing an opinion, it's so uncalled for.

I hope tomorrow goes well, I suspect your boy will win.

Totally agree with you on first point. we should all agree to disagree but I disagree with offending people because you disagree with them... If I'm making any sense at this late hour after a day's work

Second point: Boy is not MY boy (have only one youknow

), just amazes me how long NT has been surfing this winning wave, seems unreal

Well, for sure NT is my boy! I fell in love when Galan came into dressage in 2004 at Athens and have followed his career and NTs ever since, as well as one can on the Internet from Texas, that is.

I hope Joker d'Helby will be live on the net tomorrow for everyone to see. He is the loveliest horse. NT has said that Joker is his most beautiful horse. He looks like a carosel horse and appears to have great personality. In 2004 Joker won LeLion and his breed SF. He is now 11 yrs old. NT is keeping him in the smaller star events for some reason.

Tatchou won LeLion in his year 2005 and his breed AA (Anglo-Arab). While not as spectacular looking as Galan and Joker, he seems very long legged to me. Tatachou is leading the Grand National (a contest of 5 events leading to the French Championship of the year). Saumur is the 3rd event.

So wonder no more, NT is ahead in two Saumur events because he has great horses that he has trained himself. Blessings on them and all the riders tomorrow.

I would think it would be the National classes at Gatcombe. Isn't the British Open Split and there is a best Brit prize?

It is amazing for NT, I only hope it doesn't end like all the others have, with a bump! Look at poor Pippa, she can't even get round Badminton now, I think she is on a downer but I hope it won't last.
