Had a run out, circled and Rayef stopped again whilst Laura went over the fence

Laura had a stop at a skinny barrel after one of the waters then represented and fell off - horse just didnt seem to take off so over his head she went. Such a shame, she's definately been the neatest rider so far!

Unfortunately for her i think that will have ended her Olympic chances as she needed a good run to put her back in contention after the Europeans.

Such a shame. Laura and Rayef were looking very slick and definitely one of the neatest so far. I thought Sam Watson looked class as well.

She looked like she was presenting well and carefully to the fences possibly at the expense of time but he gave up on her - as he has before when he goes beyond 8 mins.

That hadn't struck me and I'm not sure the water was a factor here but it's possible.

Belton was a skinny coming out of the water and I believe she got her line wrong so, again, the water was perhaps incidental.
