Savlon & Cats

Went on a course today so I am now qualified to chip pets!!!

Anyway found out that you should never put savlon on cats as it is highly toxic & kills them.

One of the chaps there said his cat accidently got diluted savlon very small amount on him & within 10mins all his mouth had swollen up & then the flesh came off his tongue & went into renal failure.

It's true you learn something new everyday & I would never of given it a second thought to putting some on.

I know that you have to be very careful what you give / put on cats as a lot of things that you wouldn't think of as being poisonous is poisonous to them. Well done for becoming a "chipper !"
