Saw a scrap pony today

Whilst driving around my Walsall FC fottball stadium this morning I passed a proper little gypsy cob pulling a scrap trailer.

A real tradition in that area and brought a smile to my face. Pony looked healthy and relaxed trotting only the road. Havent seen one for years.

awww thats really nice! we have a few gypsies down the road and they come out with their trotters, going full speed up the A33, the horses all look stressed and unhappy, so nice to hear of one that is well looked after!

The "rag and bone man"'s pony was a part of my childhood. I used to run out with a carrot or an apple when I heard his cry. Sometimes we'd be given a bit of junk to put on the cart, and get a balloon in return.

There's nothing new about recycling!

We still get the 'any old iron' calling out round by us regularly. Normally with transit cabs now so was nice to see the old fashioned way.

I thought that actually when i saw it. No tax, insurance or MOT on a pony.
