I lost my Dalmation Murphy 2 and a half years ago. He was 8 years old and I still think about him and my other dog that died all the time.
He was a very distinctive boy, as had too much black to be recognised by his breed. His brother was also sold locally and I have never seen another dally that looked anything like him since.
Anyway, have bumped into his brother Chester over the years but not since Murph died. He was on our walk yesterday and Hector and Pads had a little play with him. It really took me by surprise how much it affected me
Chesters owners asked what happened to him and I was welling up telling them. I just couldn't stop putting my hands on him and looking at his spotty coat. It was as if Murph had come back, and I got really upset seeing him walk away.
Mad I know but I miss him
