I have bought 2 pairs of saxon equileather boiots and absoulutly love them, however in both pairs the zip has broken after about six weeks so i am reluctant to buy a third. Has anybody had any similar experiences and can anyone recommend an alternative.

broken zips seem to be a common complaint in alot of boots regardless of whether they are cheap or expensive ones. The ones I use everyday on the yard and find extremely comfy are made by Tuffa and although they were over £100 to buy they have lasted 2 winters so far worn daily for everything horsey related and are still going strong.

I have had my mountain horse high riders for the fourth year now and when polished they look lovely!! No zip probs but know of at least one person who says they had to have it replaced.
Just got a pair of sportive high riders of e-bay for £50 with a proffesional zip repair and you would nt know it had been done!!

Its such a shame cause i love my boots as they look really good in dressage tests etc. I was thinking of going a size bigger in order that they may not be as tight around the calf but what does anyone think?

I'd personally get the size you normally do and see if a saddler can't put new stronger zips in the back and possibly some elastic like gaiters so the zips wont break but they will still look good - a size bigger wont look as elegant.

Hope this helps x
