Hi

Just to let everyone know that Saxon Fields Dressage competitions are starting again from the 29th March.
Their running Prelim through to Elementary

do they hold it on grass or a surface?

They have 2 outdoor sufaces. One is the warm up arena which is situated on one side of a hedge, and the competition arena is on the other side of the hedge which is brilliant as it minimises distraction!

The competition arena is HUGE, they tend to run 2 arena's on it.

It's a lovely venue, they used to have a tack shop too but I believe they dont run it anymore.
 
Oh? I've never seen any indoor facilities there but they might have an indoor school in a different area? Behind the stables?

When ever I've been to their shows they've always been held on the outdoor school that's directly infront of the car parking field.

Maybe they've had one built over the winter? That'd be nice!

No, No indoor at present althou it has been discussed several times , so could be something for the future.

Tack shop has closed down but a Farm shop is due to open in its place selling all local produce and also having a cafe area.
This is scheduled to open at easter so should be open ready for the 1st show. They may still have in stock some bits from the tack shop as i know she did still have some bits left.
