Does anyone know how they fit on large irish types?

I've never tried them before as always wondered whether they would be generous enough as cheap however would be interested in getting a couple if they fit okay.

(If they come up similar to Amigo rugs they won't fit them!)

Many thanks for your help!

Sol is quite deep in the girth (idxtb) and they are too short for her (resembles a mini skirt

Ditto Amigo with my horse, got him a lovely red one and he wrecked it within a week, too tight round the shoulders/front. I recently got a nice Rhinegold fleece on ebay, may be able to get it on line elsewhere if you shop around, it's black with gold binding, very smart but most importantly it has shoulder darts and fits my chunky munky very well! Also find that Weatherbeeta fit him well too although they don't seem to do one with shoulder darts. Think you get what you pay for mainly with rugs, cheaper ones have less fabric and come up smaller. Hope that helps!

I've had a Saxon light/medium turnout on a couple of horses and it really hasn't fitted any of them. It just doesn't seem to be horse shaped! It had also torn in a couple of places inside after not much use at all, so IMO it's not worth the fact they're cheap when they don't fit well and you have to replace them regularly

my saxon t.o is my fav rug, seems to fit my mare perfectly (is mini dress like but everything is completely covered!) iv seen other horses in them and they look hilarious!

I've got a Saxon fleece on my 16.1 TB. It fits her well length-wise and i think it's fairly deep (when i put her stable rug on top the fleece hangs well below the stable rug) I find it slips back too much though, and half of her shoulder is out by the time she's had it on for an hour or so. None of my other fleeces do this so i'm guessing it's the cut of them or something? So far it's stood up well quality wise- comes up like new when washed and hasn't ripped but she's not really the rug wrecking type.

Haven't tried any other type of Saxon rug so couldn't comment on those.
