My friend is looking for a cheap pair of jodhpurs (she will be riding v.little) and was looking at the saxon warm up jodhpurs- would you recommend them?
I've had a pair of saxon jodhs, bought them as a back up pair when I was riding more often than usual and they were awful.
Not enough stretch to stop them going baggy on the bum, and worst of all they have a seam up the inside leg!!!!
If you want cheapy jodhs look at the tesco ones or the robinsons own brand ones (Requisite), I've got a pair of the cheapy requisite ones (called robust I think) and they have lasted ages, not the smartest but loads of stretch and last well.
Monkeybum, the Tesco's Homestore over in Hartcliffe had jodhpurs from £9 to £15 when I looked the other day. They were a bit garish in colour, but looked ok!!
They're ok for the money, nothing special. I have a pair for competitions as I didn 't want to spend a fortune on something I was only wearing every now and then. Mine are about 5 years old now and have just started to go in a hole so will be replacing (with Dublin prob as I lurve Dublin breeches). They don't get daily use, maybe once every couple of weeks ATM and less frequently before this year.
You get what you pay for but if she's rarely riding, Saxon are ok.
I really dont like my Saxon jods... i get a saggy bum and knees after wearing them for an hour.
I was going to post on hear to ask peoples opinions on the Tesco jods etc. as I constantly seem to need more jods!
