Well went over there again today to see my boy who is much brighter than yesterday there he was munching some (gorgeous i might add) hay, drips are down so he is having to hydrate himself now.
The EGS test result came through while i was there and it is NEGATIVE hallelujah I am soooooo relieved i cant tell you.
They thought they felt a tumour which is why they operated but when they opened him up everything was normal. I dont suppose I`ll ever find out why it happened as you said BoF one of them unexplainable colics.
All being well he might be home next week.

He will be on box rest for 2 months , he`ll luv that (not).
In-hand grazing only , then small paddock for a couple of months before being turned out in field.
Anyway Ive got six others so he can have a different neighbour for company each day of the week.
Thank you all for your kindness whilst we (Saxon and I ) went through hell and back one way or another .

My mare underwent colic surgery in December 2007 and like your horse, she also had the grass sickness test which thankfully came back negative. I know what you have been through the past few days, and I am so pleased that Saxon is now on the road to recovery.

I know 2 months sounds a long time, but it does go quickly and now nine months later she is back in full work, happy and healthy!
