Horses don't care about exams! My silly pony went lame by straining something and somehow managed to kick a fight with another horse, causing a nasty cut to the fetlock ):
Fast forward 3weeks later of no work, with a week in box rest and danilon as advised by the vet (which she hates with a passion- rearing whilst being tied up) -- happy that her cut now is healing over with a good healthy scab so vet said to turn her out.
Next day I check on her to put the derma gel etc on, and lo and behold, part of the scab has become soft and moist and drops out ):
She's sound so YO advised should do some light walking tmr. But seeing the scab fall off was annoying and conflicting in whether to ride her.
Would people care to share their remedies of helping a fetlock cut heal and/or whether they'd ride?
