Scabby Pony!!

My connemara pony has come out in small scabby lumps. Have just clipped him and where the scabs have come off he has very small bald patches especially on his flanks. These seem to be itchy. Do you think they could perhaps be heat related - the weather has been so mild wonder if he has been to warm on a night. He is fine in himself, in fact better than fine he is bouncing! Any help please.

As above, though have you had a good look for lice as that sounds very likely.

i really wish some people would search the web site.
I have posted my scabby donkey 4 times in as many weeks

there are on average 3 post about scabs on horses backs a week I think i will sit in the back row for this one

Really - I have spent hours trying to find anything similar and to no avail!! most mention protein lumps which I don't think they are, neither rain scald,mites or lice. My though was heat rash which is why I am asking for peoples thoughts. Silly me thinking that this was what the forum was for. Any way thanks to anyone who has replied with constructive advice.
