Scabby rash on inner back legs?

My ardenne mare Rosie has developed a really sore scabby rash on the insides of her back legs and around her buttocks. Last night when I checked she just had a couple of bald patches which I have been applying dermoline cream. Today they look really bad almost like a scabby sunburn. There is no heat there, but some scabs have been rubbed off and they are bleeding a little. The scabs are flat and there is no pus or anything. She does sweat quite a bit between her legs. She is also 7 months pregnant. Any ideas? I have smothered her legs in sudocreme for the time being.
 
Very strange this!! My TB had a rash on his bum which went hard. It was on both buttocks and I assumed had come from him leaning against the ramp of the trailer as I was driving it.

I put Sudocreme on for a week and then washed it with hot water and Hibiscrub last night. All the scabs came off and left a sunburn like mark which was a tiny bit sore to the touch.

Have covered it in Dermobian and hope that sorts it out!
 
hi shellby27 i would get some ionic colloidal silver 10ppm
and spray it on the scabs as many times a day you can and it will vastley improve things within 24 hours.
its a completly natural antibiotic,and safe for her unborn foal.

have you checked she isn't 'leaking' from the back end just incase that is causing an irritation of the skin. otherwise i would think its a hormone reaction due to the pregnancy, is she ok otherwise? would prob worth a call to the obs vet to make sure its nothing systemic related to the pregnancy to be on the safe side
 
is she in season and burning her skin, is she wormed? wash in tea tree shampoo witch will clean and soothe and the cream you are using is fine if no better in a couple of days call vet!
