After a visit to RVC Potters Bar my arab mares scabby white legs have been diagnosed as immune reaction triggered by possibly sunlight but no certainty (immune mediated vascilitus). She is in during the day and now on pentoxyfilline drug. Bad news is that though currently only 1 leg affected every other day it swells and gets angry looking and she goes on antibiotics a couple of times a month. It is getting very worrying as she is superb ride and temperament and the future seems very uncertain. Any positive feedback would be really appreciated.
