Scabs on back of knees

My 2 coloured horses had leg mites recently - they have been treated successfully for these but now they have lots of horrible scabby bits on the back of their knees and I can't seem to get rid of them? Anyone one have any ideas?

it may be `grease` aka mallanders/sallanders.you need to pm theresa_f for good info about pig oil and how to use it.
