Oh Dear...better tell Bonnie

Just half listening on Radio 2 to a debate about Hare Coarsing and I think I heard that it scares the hares... no kidding, I thought I would share a quick story with you...

Yesterday as my husband and I walked home across the stubble hand in hand...we are too old for that kind of behaviour really... Bonnie's lead was on but tucked through her collar...suddenly a Hare popped up from the stubble....as they do

Whoop! Went Bonnie, off she went a short distance across said field and through a ditch...up the other side in hot pursuit despite protestations and much whistling which fell on deaf ears, we could see the hare and suddenly it slowed down, we thought we also saw it look back, but maybe we just imagined it...Bonnie had been caught by her then flailing lead on a low branch...

and was just wagging her whole body at the one that got away

Said Hare must have thought....."Come and have a go if you think you're 'ard enuf!"

Poor old Bonnie

Back to school next week....promise implicitly to post some piccies...not too many... and join in some more.

Thank you though for still keeping me entertained.

Don't talk to me about bloody hares - they appear to be interbreeding with deer over here and have no braincells whatsoever.

Ours either lie until the dog is on top of them until bolting (er, not that I shout at my dogs much

but you can hear us coming for miles) or pop up and hop about a bit a few hundred metres ahead, while I wave my arms and go 'run away before he sees you, stupid thing!!!!'

LOL! My little dog caught a hare the other day. Although everyone keeps saying "You mean a rabbit?". Erm, no, I'm not stupid, I can tell the difference
