Hi All,
Jasper is not a "silly" horse by any means, he calmly walks past most things out hacking, (plastic bags etc he will have a look at but he's not spooky). He is good to clip, bath, load etc and I can even dry his legs with a hair-dryer and he doesn't bat an eyelid (in fact, he quite likes the hair-dryer! lol). This afternoon, however, I tried to measure him with a measuring stick and he freaked out! He was properly scared of it. My poor boy!
Needless to say, I stopped trying to measure him and spent some time just getting him to relax in it's presence, once he sniffed it and relaxed a little I took it away, but it's really surprised me. Can't help wondering if he's been hurt with a stick in the past?
Does anyone else's horse react like that to a measuring stick???
