School children steal ponies

What on earth did they think they were doing? And soooo dangerous for other road users, the ponies and themselves. Gosh I would skin them alive if they were my kids! Well not literally obviously but you know what I mean.
I'd not have been able to sit down till next Christmas if I'd pulled this stunt 😂 I do wonder what the repercussions will be, they look older than the age of criminal responsibility. At least no serious harm was done but it could have been catastrophic with no hi Vis on the road in the dark!

You can use Google maps to get an idea of the condition the horses are kept in. I can see why kids might have attempted to "rescue" their favourites, however ill thought out their plan was.

Also the road to/from the yard is a horrible, dark, windy country road that idiots drive far too fast one.

I viewed a private horse there in 2010 and called sspca straight away. The poor mare was a bag of bones with open sores, a "done" and untreated tendon, hooves thst were so overgrown they'd grown around the shoes in front, then totally ripped off behind. It was horrific.

There was lessons going on when we were there and lots of lame horses with ill fitting saddles bouncing all over the place.

SSPCA were as useless as usual. Apparently TBs are supposed to be lean 🙄

The RS has an awful reputation. If you follow the campervan up beam road you'll see a gate on the right with signs in the field. I liveried there for a whole 3 days in 2017 so saw the RS for a 4 days of moving stuff then horses, visiting horses and getting the heck out of there. I'm sure it was autumn/winter time, cold and raining, and there were a lot of poor souls at the RS. You can see the state of the fields on Google maps and thats with thr new fence. They appear to have replaced the fences and left the old stuff in the verges. That gives some idea of howbthe place is maintained. SSPCA were regular visitors but nothing ever happened. I'm guessing they are still licensed.

Bonnybridge and Hallglen aren't the most affluent of areas. Lots of new builds and developments to help the areas but they're not the best.

So yeah obviously the girls shouldn't have done what they did but I can't help but think they might have had very good intentions and felt compelled to try and "save" the horses. I could also be totally wrong and they just wanted to pinch horses to have their own...
