how can a three year old be advertised as such?
does it mean the sellers are leaving them selves open to someone coming back to them in a few years wanting their money back as said horse never became the school master it was advertised as?

Love it. Anything is a potential school master if you put the work in right enough. But presumably the seller can't be bothered putting the work in since its 3 :D

Yeah I noticed that and just lol'd :p

I assume horse has an easy going nature, but still, is only a 3 year old! Maybe he is a schoolmaster for other 3 year olds?!

Nice horse though :)

Same goes for when people say "Will make a fantastic all rounder or eventer!" and it's unbroken.

Please, give me your ability to look into the future!

I don't know, I get what it means. When I bought my husband's horse aged 4 he was such a laid back, accepting type you could have described him like that. He has gone on to be my novice husband's first horse, a few years later my 14 yr old stepson went off a 13.2 schoolmaster straight onto 17h him, and he has taken lots of novice riders out very kindly ignoring their novice ness when other horses would have been upset. He needed some riding and schooling from myself to " tune him up" along the way, but his potential to be this laid back schoolmaster type was always there,,

I think it conveys the horse's personality quite well.
And it certainly sticks in the mind enough that we all know which one you're referencing as opposed to the "16.2 safe and steady" etc. Seems to be doing it's job as an advert and sounds a lovely horse for someone.

I can ssee what they are getting at.
My lad was completely unhandled at the beggining of april, mid june my sister rode him, she hasnt ridden for 4 yrs and was never the worlds best rider.
I've already shown him at county level and he is going beautifully in a double bridle. It honestly feels like you are riding an 8 yr old. He never spooks or is silly and small children now handle him (15.2hh and 4 yrold little girls).

He will very deffinatly be a school master in the future as he just has the right temprement.
