what a horrible wet day!

went to sj today which was 2 hours away... left at 12.30 for the novice class, as friend was in that class was travelling with us. it was her 1st time competing and she had a lovely dc in the 85cm class, but unfortunatetly she was eliminated because she went before the bell

my horse had to stay behind at home because there wasnt enough space in the lorry to take him so i was to ride my friends pony. we wernt jumping till 6pm, so had a while to wait!

we were in the 1m class, and my friend went first on her pony. she got elininated at the 7th fence with various stops along the way - cue me getting on pony and her mum telling me to get him over the fences, so went and growled at him in the warm up and told him he was good when he jumped the fence. so i went in really determined that he would not stop and he was fab, the telling off really worked! talked to him the whole way around the course and so we finished with a dc. this made me feel really bad because i got a dc and she got eliminated - its her pony

what can i do to make her feel better? shes not talking to
me...

yeah she will except it...she will also realise that sometimes a change of rider mite have made the pony act differently and try hard and it was nothing that she did qwrong...gosh that didnt make sense ....i can never get my words out...hopefully you will get the gist of what i am saying!

Not much you can say. She just has to get over it on her own. Give her a few days to cool off, she'll just be embarassed. What were you meant to do - ride crap and get eliminated just so she'd feel ok?!
