Ho hum. Quote from this H&H For Sale ad:

"....This fabulous horse has been produced slowly & carefully, & is hard working safe & responsive, giving his rider a marvellous feeling of control & power. 3 huge yet balanced paces, lovely mouth, confident & secure into the hand. Shoulder-in, leg yield & Travers all established without pressure. Has never worn draw reins or been school by a man. Polite, well mannered, trust worthy."

What do you make of the "never been schooled by a man" sales pitch? I mean, it's intended as an added bonus point isn't it?
Guess she never had the pleasure of watching my man produce a horse.
So, are men the new artificial training aids (if so I'll order a full-size pleeeease) or is it a common misconception that men get results through use of pressure/strength/testosterone, etc.

I'll just go have a cuppa in the air-raid shelter....

AGGGGGGGG - that annoyed me too. And yet - all of the horses being sold by that person do not go forward into the contact from the pics - which screams out draw reins to me. The man comment I just don't get at all?????

all it means is that the a woman has ridden it and therefore it is an easy enough ride for a girl... men are naturally stronger. you often see adds saying "horse would suit man as too strong for lady rider" all this means is that it can be ridden by a woman.

I know some men who have strong aids, then the horse sometimes doesn't notice the ligher aid, they soon remember tho. Whether its an intentional thing or not, men are generally bigger, stronger.... not something i'd put in an add as a sales point tho!

I do actually know someone who will not buy a horse that's been ridden by a man for any length of time. Their logic being that men are stronger and therefore it's harder for a woman to follow that when the horse is used to being ridden with more strength. They're long-experienced horse people too

I'm not making a comment, merely passing on an observation...
