No poles available, just a flattish space in a field.
Shoulder in, always - but do both legs, not just the weaker one. And piaffe (not joking, but you do need to know how to do it).
I use this exercise worked off the bridle from the ground, I work on both reins equally but it definitely helps mine to strengthen the hind end by 'sitting' more with the hind leg under and creating more 'push' from the hind (Im not explaining it very well) and also the start of asking them to collect from the ground but again both of the above dependant on the level of training and physical development stage the horse is atI would add on this too and suggest transitions within the shoulder in. Especially trot-walk-trot really gets them pushing off the hind leg.
I have made her wonky through leading off her too much! She tries to help so is always bent slightly towards the led horse and...wonky is the result! Did that to Coblet last year and spent all winter fixing it. But no school now and she builds muscle more slowly! Led horse is now back in ridden work so I can fix things!!!
Thank you for the ideas! Even just encouraging her to be straighter in the last week has helped.
