can anyone recommend someone to help reschool my 6yo?
we can travel outside the area if needed.

he's terrified of people getting on him and we need to nip it in the bud because he's just too big to be allowed to prat about.
 
Aileen Craig I would very much recommend, personally I wouldn't recommend Martin although I do know people who hold him in high regard.
 
yup, it's the newbie.

he was never taught to stand at the mounting block or when the rider is getting on. he also doesn't appear to know what 'stop' means.

I don't fancy getting unseated everytime i want to get on him.
shame because his ground manners are in place and he lunges like a dream.

we've started working on it but it needs to be done properly and I'm not sure if I've got enough patience at the moment.
 
Liv is good - but very, very busy at this time of youar - and you'll need to keep texting/emailing her if you want a response as she's useless at getting back to people.

She is out your way quite a bit though so you might be able to link in with other lessons.
 
I now remember Debbie - I actually went for a job interview with her :o
I will google fiona again. I would say that B isn't bad mannered - he's quite baby-ish and forgets rather than being rude.

I am finding it rather hard to arrange anything with Olivia.
I'll keep trying. someone on my yard has lessons with her and she's rather good so Olivia must know what she's doing :)
 
I'd recommend Olivia have lessons from her & shes made big diff 2 horse (& me!) Think she's going on hol this wk & can b bit random at replying 2 messages!
Wot bout Jill grant think she's back teaching now or Ailsa Gilchrist or Linda Barnes

Think she's back from holiday now (but up North for a few days at Burgie).

I'm currently stalking her to book in my next lessons - she actually tells me to stalk her so that she'll get back to me :)
 
oh is Jill teaching again? that's good news :)
I will keep trying Olivia in the hope that she can fit us in even if it's just to see how bad we are ;)
 
I thot she was away after burgie- let livi lesson stalking begin!! I do the million txts as well just 2 get her altho not keen on the super early txts she sends!
 
Yup am sure I saw something on inglistons website saying she was back doing lessons there but don't no how much other freelance she'll b doing.
When I started with Olivia i was rubbish (think panic above 65cm) & prob bout 6mths of lessons & I'm getting them whacked up to 1m (somewhere I never thot I'd b!)

Ha - she tends to text me at midnight! Just had a text from her now so if you text her now she might get back to you!
