what length are people schooling whips? what length would you recommend for a 13.2hh? how short can they go?
and could one of you shopping savvy people try and find me a baby pink one :D
thanks xx

Mine is 110cm! Suits me fine on anything 14.2 to 15.3, and I'm sure it would be good for a 13.2. Mine is beautifully pink, almost fluoro, and was only a fiver from my local tack shop!

oh the pale pink one is the colour im looking for- thanks :)
so do you think 110 would be ok, or would 100 be better for me? i do prefer them slightly shorter lol, especially as she is only a narrow 13.2hh?

I've used the same schooling whip on anything from about 10.2hh to 17hh........ (yep, I still ride horses that are that extremely different in height xD)
I do have whips though that range from a jumping bat that can't be more than 40cm, to a schooling whip (or 3) that are about 110cm. Also have a 'short' whip, and 2 mid-length whips (90cm ish?) depending on the horse & what I'm doing. Short for jumping, mid-length for a whip-shy horse, schooling on everything else.
Providing you're skilled enough to handle the whip, the length should not matter that much.

oh ok then sol- thanks :) i have used schooling whips a lot, so can use one properly :) my share pony is not whipshy luckily! so i think i will go for around 100cm or 110 :)
thanks

 130!!!! thas huge lol!
i just think for her, 110 will be a bit long, she is very narrow.i think 100cm would be spot on, what do other small pony people have?

maybe it doesnt  im no expert, but put the information down incase it made a difference :) like for instance i wouldnt use a 130cm on a 13.2 pony! maybe i wasnt clear enough what i meant- sorry :o

haha, dw, it was just confusing me xD (for all I knew, you knew something I didn't! You can only ask :D)
I think as long as the whip doesn't go past the end of your pony when you're mounted, you're fine :p However.... you can always just hold the whip further down if it seems long :)
