can anyone reccomend anywhere for schoolmaster jumping lessons? I am taking my BHSI in October and need to jump as many different horses as pos. I haven't really jumped much recently so need to start off with straigh forward horses before moving on to slightly more tricky ones.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you tried pro showjumpers like Keith Doyle or James Fisher, as you are obviously riding at a fairly high level they might give you some lessons on one of their horses which would be more challenging.

but that is no good if taking your I as you will be on college or riding school horses not showjumpers and they are a total different board game! Where will you take your I exam? I would try to call them and book lessons there, that way you will know some of the horses and the instructors should be aware of the type of courses that are set up for the exam held there. If you're not allowed to use that centre how about another? Don't be put off if it's a college just give them a call. What about Wellington? no idea what they are like but they seem to have a range of horses.

Not sure where abouts you are in the South but i know Quob has alot of different types from beginners to advanced competition horses, i know there are alot of good trainers in the area but dont think any of them provide horses. Tony Newbury may be a good one to contact as Ashbourne but dont know about horse provisions?!

However, i do agree that i have always found examination horses are in my opinion usually glorified riding school horses with the odd minor glitch (strong, stroppy or nappers!) so to have lessons with showjumpers would probably be a costly and of little help to you in the long run.

Many thanks for the suggestions. I am taking the exam at Ingestre in Staffordshire so not some where I can just pop for lessons! Will give Wellington a ring.
Thanks
