Hi Everyone,
After a big break from riding because my old dressage boy is now retired (years not months!) and having recently had a baby, before I start my hunt for a new dressage partner, I thought some schoolmaster lessons would be a good idea. Not sure whether l can ride anymore ;-)
Is there anywhere in Yorkshire that offers schoolmaster lessons on their own horses or a really good riding centre? Yorkshire riding centre used to do this but they only offer lessons on your own horse now.
Can anyone recommend anywhere?
Thanks!

I'm fairly sure you may have head to Ingestre as it's such a limited offering across the UK for decent schoolmaster lessons, sadly

I’ve never been overly impressed with Talland. Be prepared to spend at least 1 if not all your lessons in side reins. While I appreciate the reasons for this, it’s not for me.

If you’re making a trip of it, keep going past Talland and head to Prestige near Gloucester! I found the horses better, better care too, and only one or two horses in a 20x60 (and the second was being schooled, not a lesson) whereas Talland has multiple lessons going on. It’s a bit more expensive but worth it IMO.

They will put a bungee on for less experienced riders but my rides never had one (I’m not that advanced - have competed to Medium only).
