Mum is definitely going to try the Bowen treatment and it sounds hopeful. The fact that its so gentle will be great for her, she is very fragile and in lots of pain of course. I'll let you know how it goes!

Harley, your story sounds awful, poor you! I obviously can't vouch for Bowen yet, but its got to be worth a try. The one thing my mums problems has taught me is that all these so called specialists seem to 'pronounce' their view and then move on. They don't seem to refer you to anyone else who might be able to help. I find it very frustrating, cos you seem to keep ending up back at square one! My respect for the medical profession has definitely taken a battering. I do so hope you find a way forward and my thoughts are with you.

aww thankyou hunni, i dont normally tell people what im going through but i just needed to get it of my chest and when i seen all these posts i thought id write about what im going through just to see if anybody can help me. i am going to ask my consultant about bowen hun ive got an appointment on the 4th nov so im gonna write a big list of questions, it cant go on anymore, ive had enough. i hate taking tablets because im one of them who wants the problem to be solved if possible, tablets help but i feel like there covering up whats happening, i am however taking more tablets than i used to but if i still feel like this in a couple more weeks then ill ask my doctor about other tablets etc.

xxxxx

im going to look into it as well hun, i hope it works for your mum and i wish her all the best. its a terrible thing pain, and your right about the consultants etc just wish they could give us some help or refer us to someone who knows more about it. ive found more things on the internet than what ive been told by my consultants. i worry about how they can say youve got one thing and then say youve got another thats why im glad ive not had the operation because i feel like i dont totally trust them, i know they can do wonderful things and they do help people but if there unsure about what youve got then how can they operate. my thoughts are with you and your mum and family hunni, all the best xxxx

Hi Harley

Really sorry to hear about your back problems.

My Mum had some really unusual problems when she was ill, that her GP couldn't much explain as he hadn't seen the problem in any other patient.

But he put her in touch with the Association/charity that was set up for people with her disease.

They were a GREAT help, and offered loads of advice, suggestions on treatments that might make her more comfortable and it was just really useful to speak to people who understood what she was going through.

Maybe you could try the same thing?

Best wishes
x
