Has anyone used Science Supplements Muscle Aid and found it any good. Just had an e mail from them and this was one of the supplements. My mare
sometimes gets a bit tight behind the saddle. I have a regular physio every 6 weeks and yesterday we saw a Chiro vet lady who gave her some treatment which she loved.

The Chiro said it was nothing serious and very common but just keep the physio up regularly and she would see her once or twice a year. The mare is in full time dressage competition
workings at Advanced Medium. I just wondered if the Muscle Aid would help stop her getting tight or is that too much to expect from a supplement. The mare is very sound and moves
very well as the Chiro said.

I haven't used that particular supplement so can't comment specifically.

However, my understanding of muscle supplements is that they provide the building blocks for muscle development in the form of amino acids particular the three limiting amino acids, lysine, methinine and threonine that are likely to be deficient in a forage based diet.

I can't think that any supplement is going to be able to relieve tightness behind the saddle. I would have thought you would be better off using the money you would otherwise use on the supplement on more regular physio sessions?

Thanks for that Julia and I quite agree with you. The mare has the physio every 6 weeks so I think we shall continue with that.
