Can anyone give me their reviews on Science Supplements ProKalm? I have heard so many good reviews about it so have started my Thoroughbred gelding on it to hopefully 'take the edge off!!'.

He has been on it for one week now (maximum dose, as advised by the company helpline, 2 scoops morning and 2 scoops evening - they said i could reduce this if needed) and I haven't noticed a difference yet, although i understand one week isn't that long so perhaps it may take a couple of weeks to have an effect/get into his system?

Has anyone else experienced this? Did it work in the end?

I used it on a little native-type horse and it did help to take the edge off. It turned out he had a physical issue that was contributing to the problems, and obviously it couldn't help with that, but he also hadn't been very well backed and was prone to panicking when he didn't understand something. The ProKalm seemed to settle his brain enough that he could think about how he was reacting (and therefore learn) rather than just losing the plot and sprinting in circles when something worried him. I can't really remember but I think it was a couple of weeks before it really started having an obvious impact. We kept him on maximum dose for a while and it really did help.

Thank you for your reply - that makes me feel a bit better, hopefully after a couple of weeks of him being on it it will start to kick in and help :)

I found ProKalm very good - it definitely took the edge off and just stopped the crazy boiling over when my horse was young! I think initially it did take a week or so to really take affect but once he had been on it a while and he levelled off, I stopped using it every day and used to use it the day before and the day off a competition and found it very good but thankfully havent needed it anymore but it would be the one I would go for again if I was doing a big show or doing something he would be a bit high at!

Thats great to hear! Hopefully I will notice a difference when i ride him this weekend. He can just be a bit irrational in certain situations! Thank you :)
