I feel like I must have been at a different event.... I didn't see a single portacabin loo the whole day. At Blair the portacabins were there as you came through the entrance so very easy to find. In the afternoon I ended up in a horrible portaloo with soap all over my hands and no loo roll, hand towels or water to get it off with. Many of them were like this - the toilet full and everything else empty. That never happened to me at Blair.

There were portacabin ones near the bars.

Having had plenty of horrific portaloo experiences at Blair over the years, these ones weren’t any worse IMO - and the ones by the main arena almost never had a queue which was brilliant. And having portaloos at stations around the campsite was a vast improvement over Blair.

Good feedback in the press from a lot of the top riders so fingers crossed they continue to support it.

The portacabin loos were there…some were behind the trade stands which was probably unfortunate because they were not easily seen…but think that is near the “will change “ top of list….
As for entries next year, there might be a wait list!!!!

Jump judge has a broken collar bone, several ribs and her right hand. Having surgery today. Poor soul!

That was what you would have seen with the screens at the last fence.

That's awful. I hope she makes a good recovery. Hopefully she will be able to claim the event's insurance for any loss of earnings and other expenses while she's incapacitated. Or do volunteers have to sign a disclaimer beforehand. Not something I've ever really thought about.

Best wishes to the fence judge for a full and prompt recovery, and that’s an interesting liability issue if the FJ is unable to carry on with normal activities such as work for a while and ends up out of pocket. They might, for eg, need to pay for help with their own horses while they recover.

Like many on here I’ve FJ’d at events many a time. You don’t expect a horse (ridden or not) to come through the ropes at you, but it does happen.

Wishing the FJ the speediest of recoveries. Gosh the poor rider must feel awful too.

@LeneHorse I've never signed a disclaimer so guess would fall under the event's liability insurance.

I’d be disappointed if it didn’t fall under the events insurance.

I suspect they may review the safety guidance for fence judges next year. It did cross my mind when walking round that some of them looked a bit vulnerable sitting in deckchairs close to the ropes. If it had been a wet day they would probably have stayed in their cars which would offer a lot more protection.

Watching scores come up (will not pay for Clip my Horse) on Eventing Scores is fascinating……watching 4S at moment
It would be good if there was just a little more information ie was Pippa Funnel E a fall, who didn’t make it through horse inspection (1st or final) that type of information….on Rechenstelle if you click on a particular horse that information comes up…or am I not seeing the “button” for that?

I have Pippa's fall on video - didn't get the one stride in between the fences at the 2nd water jump, awkward clamber over B element and dislodged her out the side door

Did any more information appear about the horse that was euthanased after the collecting ring incident? I'm baffled about what could have happened and wonder if there are lessons to be learned or if it was some totally freak occurrence, for instance it slipped and damaged something vital?

Scone was probably my favourite event certainly in the top three when I was riding .
Glad it’s back and I hope riders have a great time there for many years.

I was at Scone Friday / Saturday / Sunday
Attending big events is a bit of a hobby of mine so we have been all over - and I did used to groom at them too
They did a great job for the first year
Saturday the loos on XC were not adequate for the number of spectators, but they'll have a better gauge on that for next year
We purposefully didn't drive so we could both have a drink - and bars anywhere near the XC including by the couple of big screens showing it, were non existent. We had to carry our Pimms from way over by the SJ, and miss loads of horses to go back or go to the loo!.
Members was crowded and very expensive, and the layout meant that unless you had members tickets it was very hard to see the arenas on friday and sunday - though food and bar in there were great.
Friends had a trade stand and said trade was good, though as someone mentioned above because the whole site closed at 6 there was much less 'after hours' craic for the stand holders than at Blair when they continued on...
