Dressage 37.5. He warmed up ok for stressage then did a very naughty test with a few nice bits, The End

Withdrew as the ground was too hard to risk Dubh with his arthritis.

In typical fashion it is now pouring here.

Noodlejaffa, how did you go? I saw you til number 8 xc.

Sorry to hear you didn't get a run but there's the rest of the season I guess.

We went to watch and I couldn't believe the difference in standard of riding between the Intro and Pre-Novice. The former was just plain scarey with cricket scores in the sj and many XC eliminations over a fair course. The Pre-Novice sj was much much better ridden and the XC ditto.

I do realise everyone has to start somewhere but to go galloping over fixed fences when you're having 20+ faults over smaller fences that knock down..??

I ended up having a great day. Managed 7th in PN. Had an okay dressage (way better than last week!), a silly sj fault which was my doing entirely, then a clear xc. So, can't complain! XC wasn't as smooth as last weeks, but never mind. How many people had problems at no. 12?!!

Think you were right not to run as it was v. hard underfoot.

Didn't get home til 11.30 pm, then up again at 5 am to get next batch ready for today. I'm like a walking zombie! Still, another good day. Did first WH with baby horse (ended up being a 3'3 class!) and he came 2nd so I was delighted with him. Husband is sulking coz I beat him!!

We were parked by the start box and oh my there were a few sticky starts, however I think there were a few genuine baby horses heading out there and that could explain the napping going on.Anyone who jumps over any height of fence gets my respect though.
However the poor colecting ring eticit was beyond excuse, people jumping of any rein, cutting up, even had one person bumble infront of the fence and stop there as my pall was riding to it!!!

We didnt have a great day today

Got a shite dressage score even though I thought it went pretty well. Ned did a lovely clear SJ even with pelting down rain and wind destroying the odd fence! Onto the XC. The novice track Id say was all straight forward and easy enough except I didnt like the open ditch to an immediate right angle turn left to a trakhener about 3 strides away! And the narrow after the water was a bit yucky. My boy flew all until we got to the trakhener where we got eliminated

I turned badly into it to be fair, I should have done a circle between (numbered seperately so could have). And just couldnt get the engine going again. But my boy did jump the trakhener at Brechin last week very dodgily grazing his stifles so I think he may have given himself a bit of a scare then...... as we've never had a stop at a trakhener before. Bit gutted as I knew he could have easily gone clear.

It had rained on and off all day, I found the ground better than Brechin & Kirriemuir.

Was a nice event, except for the bloody show jumps continually being blown down! But otherwise I thought it was well run. Will probably do their second event (August?) now, since we have unfinished busines......!!
