Was bored so took a few of him in the garden. You'll have to excuse the state of the garden, its been killed by a 7 year old child and various bits and bobs are being done on the house so everything obviously ends up in the garden, like new windows so everything is being shifted around the kitchen, into the living room, out of the living room and then either upstairs or outside...!

Not the prettiest picture ever taken of him!

I think he wanted to eat me...

Dope Face! Somehow managed to make him really short and squat in this picture!

How do you think he looks condition wise? He's fed Arden Grange and normally has fish/eggs/oil in his dinner a few times a week to help bulk him up. He weighs about 38kg at the minute but he is very active for a greyhound!! Not the greatest pic I know :)

And his random square that I love and want to write his name in it :D

Yay Scoobie! He is so lovely. Haha put a barcode in his square, or a red 'sold' stamp :D

Condition wise, spot on i'd say - wouldn't want much more bulk on him - depends on how much hooning he gets up to!

He looks in super shape to me - what a handsome chap, but then again I don't like skinnys too skinny (Crufts showing types I find just a tad too skinny for my liking). He looks just right :)

Thanks guys :D Nice to know that we've finally got his feeding sorted as he can be a little...difficult at times!! Hes not very food orientated unless its my food that is!

Hes obviously feeling well at the minute since hes running laps around the living room. I opened the door buts its raining so hes staying inside to do them instead ;) I do love my boy, except for when he snores/farts/burps in bed lol.

I'm loving the idea of a barcode or a "sold" stamp!! I might just do that one day...doggy in the window anybody?!

Awww gorgeous pics - yayyy a skinny dog :):):):):) He is probably slightly fatter than my three, but I like mine in quite hard condition? He looks really well though, lovely coat

LOL at whoever said the Crufts dogs are too skinny BTW, they are usually grossly fat compared to mine :D:D:D:D

I think greyhounds come in such a wide range of sizes I have no idea whats normal and not!!
Would you say I should just keep him at this weight then? Hes quite spoilt! So if i cut down some of his fish and oil intake? Its taken nearly 2 years to get him to this stage because when we got him he was skin and bone, as in you could see all of his ribs, his entire spine and his hips :( No muscle or anything. He never raced either so do you think hes not quite as hard as some racers if that makes sense? Hes not ear tattoed or anything so we either think he was used for coursing by some "travellers" or he was a failed show dog as he did have a pronounced arch in his back.

Someone has mentioned that he was very fat for a greyhound. Didn't think he was hugely overweight lol! We were at the vets the other day and there CKCS who had lost 5 kilos and still weighed 11 kilos, it waddled!! Was actually quite shocked cause its owner didn't seem to care either!!

I would keep him just as he is personally :):) He looks fabulous, he is happy, and that is all that matters - mine seem to moderate their own weight to look slightly slimmer than him, but it is all their decision, I am constantly amazed how they all turn out looking identical (glossy coats, well muscled, showing some rib and spine but usually no hips) when I claim not to do anything much with them :D:D

Wouldnt say he was a show dog BTW, he is not the stamp of a show greyhound, but I think he might well have been bred for working? He is lovely, I adore his colour, I think a brindle and white will be on my list next time....

We've had our windows put in today and one of the workman screamed and went "YOU HAVE A GREYHOUND" in a nice girlie brummy voice and proceeded to tell Scoobs how wonderful he is :P!

Now going to keep his weight as it is, the fish has done wonders for his joints though so might keep him on that a couple of times a week.

His past will always be a mystery I guess, we were just trying to think of scenarios if you like of his past? We weren't really convinced of the possible showdog because quite frankly he is rubbish! Doesn't even win handsomest dog at the local fun show (its a fix I tell you!) he has gone hungry at some point as well and not had much affection. he was terrified when we first tried to hug him :(
But being bred to work would make a lot more sense. Would explain a few things actually about him! Just wish he could talk so I knew what had happened in his past life.

And yes you should get a brindle and white! Without a doubt. Brindles are...special :D In many ways!

LOL Mosh that has just reminded me of a time I took my car to the local garage with the dogs in the back - a guy happened to come out of the adjacent factory, saw the dogs, and promptly collared me for the next half an hour telling me all about his greyhound :D Is there something about greyhound owners that makes us like that I wonder? :p

I did nearly get a brindle and white the time before last, I was offered a very handsome dog by GRWE, but by that time I had committed to having ickle Flickle! I often remind her of how lucky she was :D:D

Its definitely a greyhound thing. Was never like it with my collies but do find myself talking to random people about greyhounds!! I think its sheer excitement that we've found another dog owner that is as equally as mad and then we can whinge about greyhound stuff and they know exactly what we mean :P
My old farmer wanted Scoob to work on the farm, I kept telling him he wouldn't but he wouldn't believe me ;)

I love Little Flick, she is such a pretty girlie and she knows it!! And from what I've seen, she is tiny!!
I frequently remind Scoobie that I can disguise him as a small horse and send him for glue. He pays no attention to me :D
