How much would you expect to pay to get a horse scoped by the vets?
For suspected ulcers?

Quoted £200 inc sedation.

I think mine was about £200 including sedation and a written report. It was done at my yard by the specialist from O'Gormans (Donnington Grove). It is not expensive and well worth having done.

£230 done at vet hospital last year.

Mine was £150 but he also had a gutteral pouch scope, head and cervical vertebrae xrays, neurological exam, teeth rasp, ct of his head and lots of drugs and 2 nights stay. His bill for this was £2100 which was just less than half his total bill.

Mine was £150 +vat for a gastroscope at the vets including optional overnight stay. I did use the overnight stay. Didnt want her at home hungry and they were seen to first in the morning if they had stayed the night.

It is a independent specialist, but yes it is a lot. it would be far less than that If I travelled my horse to the practice 10mins down the road but he doesn't travel well!
