Scottish Fjord Horse Society

Unbelievably, the Chairman of the Scottish Fjord Horse Society (which was disbanded last year after a ruling in the Scottish Parliament) was only fined £720 in Court relating to the death of three fjord ponies from starvation / malnutrition.

The picture made me sick to the bottom of my heart, especially as the very proud owner of a beautiful, happy and thoroughly spoilt rotten Fjord pony.

Hopefully the SSPCA will appeal.

There is so rarely justice in court when it comes to cases relating to animal cruelty- no wonder people offend over and over again....

We also have a wee cutie Fjord Pony for the school!

So sad and totally disgraceful that this is someone who is meant to represent the interests of this wonderful breed.

What has happened to him being a Studbook/Chairman or whatever the vile man is?? I hope the Fjord horse society ditched him long ago, i wonder if he is a BHS member can he be banned?

The man in question originally ran the Fjord passporting society in Scotland and this was revoked a good few months ago now.

There was a front page story on this in yesterdays local newspaper (said man lives about 25 miles from me) and in the middle of the story it said 'and in the field behind his house there were a lot of fjord ponies grazing' (or words to that effect).

Evidently court hasn't put him off.......
