Scottish Newbie!

Sounds great! I loved music in high school but wasn't quite cut out for a degree in it. I wen to Strathclyde Business School initially but somehow ended up doing a Politics degree at Glasgow.... It's strange how things work out eh?!

it is.. I ended up in a job I never thought I'd be able to do, in a city I didn't want to live in - I love it now though.

Ahh.. strathclyde is ridiculously close to my horrible workplace - I believe you will have spent your free periods wandering around in it :D (can you guess where it is yet?)

Good luck finding a sharer :)

Hi from another Scot! I'm just outside Kilmarnock so a wee bit away, though I do work in Glasgow (oh the fun of the daily trek...) and I'm ex GU as well! As a Scottish HHOer it is pretty much mandatory that you attend Blair and come to the HHO BBQ (or rave as security were led to believe last year lol!)! There are a lot of us on here, most of us hang out in Competition Riders. Welcome to the forum!

How do you do Kilmarnock - Glasgow everyday and not go mental?

Hi Jennifer! Here's me thinking that Scots were going to be scarce on here... lol! A Blair BBQ sounds amazing - I would love to come along. I'm a bit scared to go over to Competition Riders though, will I get mocked if I don't own an eventer? lol

I'm another Scottish based person based in South Lanarkshire and commuting daily to Glasgow for work but I just lurk lots. I'm not brave enough to post.

Haha yes :D Have to be to live here

My big ginger is kept at Hazelden in Newton Mearns - we were at Ingliston in Bishopton before - and it takes me about 25 mins to drive there if I go through the Hurtlet and Barrhead.

I went to Glasgow uni as well :o

Another Glaswegian HHO'er here. I live like 5 minutes down the road from Hazelden

Hi there, another Scottish HHOer here. I'm from Ayrshire, in the same villiage as JenB :-) I don't have my own horse at the moment either but I share a gorgeous 7yr old 17hh ISH who is a sweetheart and I love him to bits.

Hope you find a horse soon.

Emma.

Hello there! Another Aberdonian here. I hang out in CR, and my pony is scared of jumping, and I don't get mocked! :D (we do a bit of endurance and dressage).

Maybe I'll take a trip over there then spookypony! I've always wanted to try endurance, looks like great fun.

Also, 'hello!' to everyone else that has joined the thread, nice to meet you all! Where are you from VeracobxTB? Sounds like you've got a great project on your hands liannexsx! :D

Sorry for hijacking but are you the farm on the left side of the motorway (assuming you're heading towards the airport from Linwood)? the back road takes you into Ferguslie Park?

my yard is on that road i do a bit of breeding and my homebred 3 yr old will also be getting backed this year
