If a property in Scotland is a registered smallholding, does that mean it comes with certain ties? Specifically relating to private equestrian use?

I'm not sure what the rules are in Scotland but here I think there is a difference between agricultural use and equestrian use...this is a great property forum, loads of people on here are knowledgeable about such things so maybe try this...https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/house-buying-renting-selling

I think it offers protections eg if someone tries to claim it, you get automatically notified. Definitely phone the local branch of DEFRA or equivalent who will tell you how to register.
