Hi i have in my possession an old scrap book made up of photos and newspaper clippings from Horse and Hound and various other newspapers and journals. It features the 1952 games in Helsinki and onwards. It has many pictures and stories on Foxhunter, Col H. Llewlyn, Miss Pat Smythe etc etc. It is at least 3 inches thick.
Also enclosed are some lovely pictures of families including one of John Hislop and his wife and their two sons Andrew and Ian Hislop. I am sure someone of that family would be interested. Also there is a letter and photo dated April 1952 from The British Racehorse Journal. It features a B/W photo of the horse Gladiateur and the letter states it as being unique and one of just a few. I am sure this journal/scrapbook would be of immense interest to someone who features in the horse and hound society. Would someone please contact me to help me get this wonderful book to the right family.
