I left my horse in the arena while I set up a few jumps, not really thinking straight..so my horse decided to go for a roll and his brand new £800 saddle is now wrecked! It's all scraped and I'm absolutely devastated!

Is there anyway I could try fix this?

I have a small part time leather business and am able to significantly reduce, if not remove scrapes in leather by boning them (essentially rubbing the cut edges back together using an old animal bone or antler). It's worth asking your saddler if that's something they can do when you have your tree checked.

I get more saddles into my workshop that have been rolled on by the horse for insurance quote assessments than anything else.9 out of 10 times there's at least one break in the tree, I have a beauty in that has 3 breaks, just from the horse lightly rolling on it, so take your saddle to your Saddler to assess the damage properly, better be safe than sorry.
