As some of you may remember, my JR puppy had been ill, and we found out it was vaso vagal sycnopy. This was where her heart was stopping for upto 30 seconds and so she was passing out and her lungs in turn filling up with fluid..
The vets had hoped that she would grow out of it and we wouldnt have to operate, but the episodes have been recently getting worse, longer and more severe, and her abdomen has also been filling with fluid.
Whereas she was having one fit every day at most and it just being her passing out, she has now been having 3/4/5 a day and they have been lasting ages, and causing her to go blind temporarily..
We had some more tests done and she was booked in to get a pacemaker on Tuesday, the earliest we could arrange for her. This would have regulated her heart so that she didnt pass out, whichin turn would stop her body filling with fluid..
I am really sad to say, that last night at 12.30 ish she had a very bad fit, and she didnt come around... we did try everything we could for her but she just gave up...
Cant describe how I feel atm, after fighting for her for so long...
RIP scrat...
