I got a new name plate for the horses headcollar but I misjudged the width of the it and therefore have the wrong size attachment screws. Does anyone know where I can get some of a suitable size from?

I found the screws always work their way out so i got the brass split pins

As per Baileyhoss, you need Chicago Screws.
I bought some off eBay very cheaply - just make sure that you get the correct thickness - my leather headcollar is three-thickness at the cheek pieces so quite thick when added to the brass plate. I put a drop of loctite onto the end of the screw before tightening it just in case it came undone.
Otherwise, as per Dianchi, search for brass split rivets on ebay for an alternative method.
