My in laws had a GSD x Irish wolfhound lurcher. Wonderful dog except he hated my brother in law! He was enormous. My OH bought him at North End Road market in the early 70s. His mum had lost her westie and the market trader assured teenage OH he would not grow big
. OH bought him as a replacement .
In laws lived in a small London flat 7 floors up. Mother in law adored him and he adapted fine to his cramped conditions going out at least 3 times a day for proper walks. They were heart broken when he died. He was one of the biggest dogs I've ever met and could be protective of his property but the only person he was iffy with was my brother in law who hated him. Just used to growl at him no snarling etc. we never knew why.
