Scuffed knees- best treatment?

My horse has just come down on the road, luckily he's ok just scuffed / grazed knees and taken the hair off?

Can anyone recommend the best thing to put on to help everything recover?

Glad his knees are OK - Cornucrescene works well at increasing the regrowth of hair.

ThIs happened to my mare a few years ago and someone recommended MTG ( google it) and the hair grew back within a few weeks!

Danny did this with me a few years ago. I washed the legs with a hose pipe for ages and then slathered on sudocreme and left them. If it happened now I would use NAF Ointment or wound powder.

You do need to check that his knees are not damaged, and it's just the hair and skin that's taken the brunt.

My mare did same in the school about 6 weeks ago i just cold hosed and applied sudacreme. She was tender for a week or so and her knees did swell quite badly for about a week but she was fine after a couple of weeks and came back into work fine. Now the hair is nearly all back in and if you didnt know to look u would never notice. She grazed a strip about an inch wide and 4 inches long diagonally off her knee.
