scurfy skin

So my horse has always had scurfy skin since I bought him. to start with i thought it was just dried sweat as he has a few patches where he hadnt been washed off properly and a few blotches on his bum of like scabs possibly rain scold he had this when i got him! so i got this sorted lots of washes and creams but his skin is just very scurfy ive tried hot clothing with propper oil in the water, oil in his feed, lots of grooming and sprays ive tried dry skin shampoos and washes.
his food is conditioning nuts and a chop with good splash of cooking oil

was thinking of adding a supplement to feed but not sure which one or if i need to never had one like him theyve always been lovely on the oil and feed?

any suggestions i think ive just got a scurfy one :(

MP Gloss revitalise oil in your hot cloth water.

has transformed my sec C dry skin, it leaves no build up and also works on unclipped coats as i use it on my sec B too.

look at your feed too though as mine cant have anything with linseed or alfalfa in
 
Head and Shoulders is brilliant and much cheaper than a lot of specialist shampoos. My vet swears by it for skin issues.
